This week in Year 5 we finished our topic of Ancient Egyptians with some STEM activities!
First we did an experiment mummifying tomatoes using the same method at the Egyptians, cleaning out the inside, washing and drying it then covering it in salt. We will leave the tomatoes for two weeks to see if we have managed to preserve them!
Then we had a challenge to build a pyramid using paper cups without touching them with our hands, using only an elastic band and some string. This was a lot of fun and got very competitive!
